You can take a little spree to Birch Millpond Dam since you're here at Birch Millpond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hammonasset River. This lake is so wonderful. During your stay at Birch Millpond do have a look at nearby Stannard Beach, and there are some great whitewater spots on Salmon River. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Birch Millpond. If you came to camp Devil's Hopyard State Park is

| | a glorious location to do that, and Pequot Swamp Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. A day at Chapman Beach right next door to Birch Millpond is time well spent, and Selden Neck State Park is a tremendous spot to go to. Golf can be played at Hillside Links Golf Course. There's so much to do here at Birch Millpond that you need to camp here for a while, Wolf's Den Family Campground is a pleasant location for that. Through the warm months here at Birch | |

10's. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Birch Millpond. A swamp like Cedar Swamp close to Birch Millpond has lots of exciting things to see, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Old Saybrook
is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Old Saybrook, and if you get bored of Birch Millpond you could also check out nearby Mill Pond. Birch Millpond mostly gets a great
deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. The view of Ingham Hill from Birch Millpond is pretty, and some nearby water includes Mud River.

 | 12 miles away THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return.
