This lake is so wonderful. Chapman Hill is easy to spot from Billings Lake, and Wyassup Lake is a splendid lake close by. If you came for an overnight stay Countryside Campground is a splendid location to camp, and there's some flowing water close by, Ashwillet Brook is a stream you can stop at while here. This lake is so       wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Billings Lake to distinguish the water at Billings Lake Dam; you'll meet a lot of people from Norwich-New London here. Be careful coming to Billings Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Billings Lake. After a long day outdoors Hilltop Inn and Suites is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun. Billings Lake                  is a wet place that gets much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while June is usually the driest month. On a delightful day you can go to Hetchel Swamp, a swamp in close proximity to Billings Lake; a spree to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Fenner Hill Country Club, and Hopeville Pond State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. High temperatures at Billings Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Billings Lake.
