Billings Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Getting to Ashwillet Brook from Billings Lake is uncomplicated. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Billings Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Countryside Campground is a fine site for that, and a fine close by hotel is Hilltop Inn and Suites. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant spot like Hopeville Pond State Park close to Billings Lake is too fine to leave out, and Billings Lake

| | is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Highland Orchards Resort Park is a delightful local campground.
If you're here at Billings Lake and you like golf, you can take a look at Fenner Hill Country Club; after a long day outdoors Bellissimo Grande Hotel Suites is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. had enough of Billings Lake, Spaulding Pond is close by. The nice people of Norwich-New London like to hang out nearby, and a tour to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile.
There's some attention-grabbing
stuff to distinguish at Billings Lake Dam in the vicinity of Billings Lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River. Hiking along the Narragansett Trail is nice fun;
Chapman Hill is clearly visible from Billings Lake. Billings Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
Through the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Billings Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Billings Lake.
