Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Billings Lake. Through the summertime highs here at Billings Lake reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Billings Lake. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Hetchel Swamp is right nearby, and going       for a hike on the Narragansett Trail is always a perfect adventure. Billings Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Billings Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Highland Orchards Resort Park is a great place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Hilltop                  Inn and Suites. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Billings Lake has to offer, you can camp at Countryside Campground. Visit Ashwillet Brook if you're here at Billings Lake, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Grist Mill Pond is just a very short distance away. A golf course next to Billings Lake is Fenner Hill Country Club, and Billings Lake Dam is not far at all from Billings Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful, you obtain a nice view of Chapman Hill from Billings Lake, and sites like Hopeville Pond State Park are good to have a look at.
