All the water falling down from the sky makes Bigelow Pond a wet place; through November this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Bigelow Pond. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bigelow Pond. A quick spree to Bush Meadow                  Brook in close proximity to Bigelow Pond is a magnificent idea, and naturally, this is a nice region for people who like lakes, Mashapaug Pond is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Bigelow Pond you'll meet some folks from Willimantic for sure, and after a long day outdoors Travelodge Sturbridge is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Bigelow Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pines Campground is a glorious place for that. Lakes are splendid; Myers Pond is a lake that's next to Bigelow Pond. Natchaug River is a good whitewater spot near Bigelow Pond, and if you have time, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth taking a look at.
