Beaches are splendid; and Soundview Beach close to Big Pond is no exception, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some pleasant whitewater. Little Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and if you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Cedar Ridge Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Rocky Neck State Park when you're here at Big Pond is a tremendous idea, and of course Armstrong Brook is a lovely stream

| | that is worth checking out. Lots of precipitation falls at Big Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. During the warm days of summer here at Big Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Big Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Yeah, come | |

here to Big Pond for a pleasant time. Why not camp at Camp Niantic By The Atlantic while you're here at Big Pond; you might also want to pay a visit to Hatchett Reef since you're here at Big Pond. Amon Hill can be seen from Big
Pond, and a fine close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn/Niantic. So many entertaining things to do here at Big Pond, too magnificent to be true. Days Inn Niantic is a fine site to get some rest; camping is available at Rocky Neck
State Park. Big Pond is not far at all from Norwich-New London; if you get bored of Big Pond you could also explore nearby Swan Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid beach near Big Pond is Rocky Neck State Park Bathing Beach, and you ought to pop by Hatchett Point when you're here.

 | 15 miles away I am staying at odatah camp ground as I write this thay have wi-fi which is great. This is our first time here and we love it. we will be comming back many more times. We are staying in a nice cabin, but thay have very good camp sites as well. are cabin has a fridge,doubble bed,three twin beds but the (twins are a little narrow). This morning we played horseshoes Yhe seasonal campers were very under standing of are unfamiliarity with the game and had a wonderful time.we then went swimming in the lake. that was great. we then went in the pool and the hottub. hottub was nice and big. we then played shuffleboard and went to a barbeque(exellent ribs)and listen to a very good band. All in one day. can't wait for tomorrow.... |

 | 19 miles away THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return.
