Big Meadow Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. During the summertime months here at Big Meadow Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Big Meadow Pond throughout the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 10's. Hiking along the Mattatuck Trail is good fun, and a trip to Black Rock State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.

| | This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Big Meadow Pond, you can go for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail, and why not head up to Woodbury and strap some skis to your feet. Big Meadow Pond typically gets a large amount of rain; during June this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Hit the beach if you want, Morris Town Beach is practically right here, and lots of people from Torrington come here. An attention-grabbing thing to have a look at right next door to Big Meadow Pond is Big Meadow Pond Dam, and at
Big Meadow Pond you can distinguish French Mountain. But wait, there's more to do close to Big Meadow Pond. Swamps don’t sound that perfect but Pecks Swamp near Big Meadow Pond is rather perfect, and some nearby water includes East
Morris Brook. If you came for an overnight stay Branchbrook Campground is a brilliant place to camp, and nothing beats kicking back at Litchfield Town Beach. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is good at Mohawk Mountain. This
lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Tollgate Hill Inn is a delightful choice, and paddling on Shepaug River is so much fun. Lakes are great; Watertown Reservoir is a lake that's next to Big Meadow Pond, and whitewater paddling is nice on Bantam River.
