An out of the ordinary thing to check out next to Benedict Pond is Benedict Pond Dam, and soar down the rapids of Sandy Brook River in a kayak. it's close by, and Ski Sundown is a delightful local ski area. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. near Benedict Pond you'll discover a wooded vicinity called Cookson State Forest, and Brown Mountain can be spotted from
Benedict Pond. A great place like York Lake near Benedict Pond is too good to leave out, and if you need a location to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice. After a long day outdoors Blackberry River Inn is a delightful
place to spend a night or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - West Branch. The skiing at Ski Butternut is good. The high level of rain makes Benedict Pond a relatively wet place; August is when you get
the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. Summertime highs at Benedict Pond usually tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the
winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Benedict Pond drop into the 0's.
