This lake is so wonderful. Hither Hills State Park is a good campground nearby; Samp Mortar Reservoir Dam is an interesting thing to check out.
Get wet paddling on Norwalk River, and Sherwood Island State Park is a nice spot to
have a look at. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Black Rock Inn is a fine choice; nothing beats kicking back at Jennings Beach.
This lake is so wonderful. There's a forest here at Bellarmine Pond called Fairfield Woods;
if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Fairfield Beach. Bellarmine Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; during May this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. An afternoon playing golf
at Twin Links at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course is always a joy; don't forget to stop at Black Rock Neck while you're here.
