This lake is so wonderful. Blackberry River Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Pond Hill Pond is in the neighborhood. Swamps like Beckley Bog next to Beckley Pond make for wonderful places to go to, and going for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of       this vicinity. Beckley Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Chestnut Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Beckley Pond; Mohawk Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are really bountiful here at Beckley Pond. Paddling on                  Sandy Brook River is so much fun, and a perfect place to camp here at Beckley Pond is Laurel Crest Campground. This is a popular place for folks from Torrington, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Sundown. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Beckley Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Beckley Pond are in the 0's. Float down the rapids of Still River in a kayak, and camping is available at Lone Oak Camp Sites. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Smith Pond. You just have to adore Beckley Pond.
