Beaver Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Everybody loves Wadsworth Falls State Park, and you don’t have to go far from Beaver Pond to catch a sight of the water at Beaver Pond Dam. Very beautiful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Mount Southington, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the days of summer here at Beaver Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Beaver Pond.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Beaver Pond. An afternoon playing golf at Hunter Memorial Golf Course is always a joy; a wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MERIDEN. Looking
for something in the vicinity of Beaver Pond? Silver Lake is around here, and going for a hike along the Washington Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. What would winter be without some skiing at Powder Ridge.
There's so much to do here at Beaver Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Little City Campground is a fine place for that. You're sure to bump into some cheerful people from New Haven-Milford here, and hiking along the
Mattabesset Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Pond is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. You're probably into lakes, New Dam Pond is one of those close by, and you can make out Cathole Mountain from Beaver Pond.
