Black Rock State Park is a great campground nearby; why not stop at close by Pitch Brook while you're here at Beaver Pond. High temperatures at Beaver Pond during the warm months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Beaver Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Branchbrook Campground is a great site to camp;

| | hey, Gotta ski right? Woodbury is a splendid place to do that. Beaver Pond is not the only place close by, Herron Pond is a close by lake, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Morris Town Beach. A lake close by is Marsh Pond; not far from Beaver Pond you acquire some tremendous water scenery at Pitch Reservoir Dam. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bantam River; an afternoon playing golf at Stonybrook | |

Golf Course is always a pleasure. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Go for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Litchfield Town Beach.
And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Beaver Pond. There's whitewater on Shepaug River for all you adrenaline people, and lovely scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Mohawk Mountain. The
high level of rain makes Beaver Pond a pretty wet spot; June is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Cranberry Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp in the neighborhood
of Beaver Pond; on a pretty day you get a great view of Chestnut Hill from Beaver Pond. There are great places to look at along the Mattatuck Trail, and there are plenty of people from Torrington here at Beaver Pond. This lake
is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mattatuck Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and if you need a location to stay Yankee Pedlar Inn is a delightful choice. Everybody loves Black Rock State Park, and dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn.
