Spinning Mill Brook is near Beattie Pond and is always a bliss to explore, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Circle Beach. Head up to Powder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet, and if you're interested in cool geologic highlights try Chimney Corner. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Washington Trail. Through the warmest time of the year here at Beattie Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. During the dark

| | hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Beattie Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. You'll meet a lot of folks from New Haven-Milford here, and since you're here, you could also stop by striking Bishops Pond. is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful sites to discover along the Mattabesset Trail, and Chatfield Hollow State Park is both brilliant and picturesque. While you're here at Beattie Pond you should
take a look at Bloody Cove; Beattie Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Riverdale Camp Sites is a wonderful local campground. So many exciting things to do at Beattie Pond, so little time. Dry warm beds await you
at Tower Inn and Suites, and Town Millpond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Beattie Pond a wet site; April is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the
least moisture. Just can't get enough of Beattie Pond. Beaches are good; and Jacobs Public Beach near Beattie Pond is no exception; Comfort Inn Guilford is a good site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much
to do here at Beattie Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hammonasset Beach State Park is a great location for that, and Hammonasset River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. While staying at Beattie Pond you could always
discover Chimney Corner Reef, and going for a hike on the West Woods Trail is always a brilliant adventure.

Maltby Lakes are made up of three lakes located off of Route 34 in West Haven. The permit also gives you access to Lake Saltonstall and Lake Chamberlain for fishing.
