So many entertaining things to do here at Bear Swamp Pond, too great to be true. Wampee Pond is a fine lake right next door to Bear Swamp Pond, and why not go to Wapato Pond Dam since you're here. At Bear Swamp Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. For the period       of the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Bear Swamp Pond dip into the 0's. Blackberry River Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest, and Ski Butternut has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Housatonic River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. Going to Dennis Hill State Park near                  Bear Swamp Pond is a perfect thing to do, and Valley In The Pines Campground is a good campground nearby. Yeah, come here to Bear Swamp Pond for a glorious time. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Bear Swamp is right nearby; going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. The high level of precipitation makes Bear Swamp Pond a quite wet location; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Quarry View Golf Course is a great golf course close by, and dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn. One of the overriding marks of the surroundings of Bear Swamp Pond is Roberts Hill, and glorious skiing awaits you at Mohawk Mountain. Brown Brook is a stream that you may run into while here. This lake is so wonderful.
