A great site like Lake Waramaug State Park near Beaman Pond is too nice to leave out, and there's splendid hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Heritage Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and camping is available at Buck's Rock Camp. Through the months of summer highs here at Beaman Pond reach the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and throughout

| | the dark hours in the wintertime at Beaman Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Housatonic River, and Straits Pond Dam is a beautiful location. Looking for something right next door to Beaman Pond? North Spectacle Pond is in close proximity; Beaman Pond is not far at all from Torrington. And that's not all you can do here at Beaman Pond. is Homestead Inn. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly interested in lakes, South Spectacle Pond is one of those close by, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mohawk Mountain if you're here. There
are some magnificent whitewater spots on East Aspetuck River; the Mattatuck Trail offers hiking at its best. Skiing at Woodbury is one of those things you just must do, and a great place to camp here at Beaman Pond is Lake Waramaug
State Park. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Beaman Pond has it all. Bald Hill is a peak you can see from Beaman Pond. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Beaman Pond; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
