here at Bates Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Torrington, and why not stop by a swamp like Meeker Swamp while you're here at Bates Pond. Marks Hollow is a wonderful site to spend some time at, and going for a hike
on the Mattatuck Trail is always a splendid adventure. At Bates Pond you can see Above All, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Woodbury. High temperatures at Bates Pond throughout the summertime are
in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Bates Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. If you get bored
