What a nice lake Basset Pond is. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Basset Pond get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Basset Pond. The friendly people of Willimantic like to hang out close by, and Lester B Williams Memorial Forest is a forest that you can go to. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn Plainfield

The panoramas at Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind, and camping at Wolf Den Campground is always a magnificent experience. need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a good choice; the Munyan Trail offers hiking at its best. There's great hiking along the Walkabout Trail, and Blackwell Hill is delightful and
can be made out from here. But wait, there's more to do near Basset Pond. If you came to camp Mashamuquet Brook Campground is a great place to do that, and getting to Bush Hill Brook from Basset Pond is easy. Just can't get enough
of Basset Pond. Do stop by Paradise Lake Dam since you're here at Basset Pond, and if you've had enough of Basset Pond, Paradise Lake is close by. Nearby lakes? Sure, Rogers Corporation Pond is near Basset Pond. There's whitewater
on Natchaug River for all you adrenaline people, and a round of golf at nearby Brooklyn Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Quinebaug River; don't leave Basset Pond without first going for a hike along the Border Trail.
