Barkhamsted Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. At Barkhamsted Reservoir you always meet someone from Torrington, and if you need a site to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Hartford Avon is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Farmington River in the vicinity of Barkhamsted Reservoir, and Simsbury Inn is a good place to get some rest. Why not explore Saville Dam if

The high level of rainfall makes Barkhamsted Reservoir a pretty wet site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. spot to camp nearby, and get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Farmington River - Riverton. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Barkhamsted Reservoir. What would winter be without some skiing at Blandford;
you can see Holcomb Hill from Barkhamsted Reservoir. American Legion State Forest is a perfect local campground, and swing by Beaver Brook it's a delightful place to have a look at. The Richard Trail is a perfect hiking trail
close to Barkhamsted Reservoir, and Stratton Brook State Park is a tremendous place to stop by. At Barkhamsted Reservoir during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures
during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Barkhamsted Reservoir are in the 10's. Not far from Barkhamsted Reservoir, you'll find Lake Mcdonough which is a pretty lake, and the slopes of Ski Sundown
are so inviting noone can resist. On a brilliant day at Barkhamsted Reservoir you can take a hike along the County Road Trail, and there are other places here than Barkhamsted Reservoir, for example Compensating Reservoir.
