In Connecticut there are many beautiful lakes, Bantam Lake is one of them. On a good day you can go to Bantam Swamp, a swamp in close proximity to Bantam Lake, and lots of people from Torrington come here. Camping at Bantam Lake is nice fun, Cozy Hills Campground is a nice local campground; why not stop at Keeler Cove also since you're here. Why not camp at Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds since you're here at Bantam Lake, and a day at Litchfield Town Beach

| | is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. Bantam River Reservoir is a delightful lake near Bantam Lake, and while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Stonybrook Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Shepaug River is so much fun, and close by you locate the Mattatuck Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. a good adventure, and you can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Mohawk Mountain. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bantam Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn, and Bantam
River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. Mt. Tom State Park is a magnificent location to stretch your legs a bit; Litchfield Inn is a great location to get some rest. Skiing at Woodbury is one of those things you
just must do, and at Bantam Lake you can observe Apple Hill. One of the best things about Bantam Lake is its proximity to Morris Town Beach, and you can go for a hike on the Naugatuck Trail. Bantam Lake sees pretty high levels of
rain; August is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. High temperatures at Bantam Lake through the summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through
the wintertime are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bantam Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a pleasant little trip to Bizell Brook, and you can take a little trip to Bantam Project Dam while you're here at Bantam Lake.
