    Beautiful Banks Pond has much to offer visitors. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Banks Pond. If you're looking for a beach in the vicinity of Banks Pond, we recommend Town Beach, and there are plenty of folks from Norwich-New London here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Banks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Rocky Neck State Park is a great site for that, and do visit Crystal Lake, it's a beautiful  
   lake. Banks Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and June on the other hand is the driest.
If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn New London-Mystic,Ct is a wonderful choice; Banks Pond is right by the Narragansett Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's some exciting stuff to make out at Jordan Mill Pond Dam close to Banks Pond, and Lighthouse Inn Resort is a nice spot to get some rest. Goshen Ledge is near
 
               Banks Pond and is certainly a great spot to have a look at, and Alewife Cove is very near and is a good place to have a look at.
If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. While you're here at Banks Pond, you could also take a look at stunning Miller Pond; Harkness Memorial State Park is both wonderful and beautiful. Take a side trip to Fenger Brook, and if you're a golfer then a delightful nearby course is Groton Town Shennecossett Golf Course.
Stay the night at Camp Niantic By The Atlantic, and Green Harbor Beach is a beach nearby that you can pop by. During the summer at Banks Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Banks Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. On a gorgeous day you acquire a vista of Lamphere Hill from Banks Pond; you must undeniably dedicate some time to Sanctuary Basin if you're here at Banks Pond.
