You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powder Ridge if you're here, and you're possibly keen on lakes, Bradley Hubbard Reservoir is one of those close by. Baldwins Pond Dam is worth a visit if you're here, and skiing at Mount Southington is one of those things you just have to do. There's some       flowing water close by, North Branch Harbor Brook is a stream you can pop by while here; hiking is a popular thing to do around Baldwins Pond; Mattabesset Trail is a brilliant local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mattabesset Trail. Lakes are tremendous; Jordan Pond is a lake that's right next door to Baldwins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Hunter Memorial Golf Course not far from Baldwins Pond; if you need                  a place to stay Red Carpet Inn and Suites Meriden is a wonderful choice. Baldwins Pond frequently gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Good hiking is available along the Washington Trail, and Camp Eagle Feather is a delightful campground nearby. Buckwheat Hill can be observed from Baldwins Pond, and dropping by Wadsworth Falls State Park is a delightful thing to do. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do near Baldwins Pond. Roaring Brook River is a nice whitewater spot near Baldwins Pond, and you'll meet a lot of people from New Haven-Milford here. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - Collinsville, and Baldwins Pond is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Little City Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby.
