    Do stop by Baker Pond while you're in this part of Connecticut. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Natchaug River, and in the vicinity of Baker Pond you locate a golf course called Harrisville Golf Course. Go for a hike on the Munyan Trail, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a nice national park. Alworth Hill is a peak you can spot from Baker Pond, and  
   Quinebaug River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby.
So many enjoyable things to do here at Baker Pond, too delightful to be true. A quick journey to Elliotts Brook near Baker Pond is a great idea. Baker Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here while February is commonly the driest month. Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a splendid site to stop by, and going for a hike on the Walkabout Trail is always a great
 
               adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Woodstock Hill, and close by you hit upon the Border Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Wolf Den Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. Lakes are pleasant; Taft Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Baker Pond. Throughout the warm months at Baker Pond highs are frequently in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Baker Pond temperatures descend to the 10's.
If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a fine choice, and not far from Baker Pond you'll stumble on Abbott Pond which is a striking lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Baker Pond. Baker Pond is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a pleasant place to camp nearby; lots of folks from Willimantic come here.
