     Baker Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations close to Baker Pond that are great to go to, and if you need a place to stay Friendship Valley Inn is a tremendous choice. The Border Trail offers hiking at its best; the top of Alworth Hill is easily seen from Baker Pond. Baker Pond is right by the Walkabout Trail.
Whitewater paddling is not for
 
   everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Quinebaug River, and a quick spree to Elliotts Brook is beyond doubt a brilliant idea. Summertime highs at Baker Pond typically tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Baker Pond all through the wintertime commonly dip into the 10's. There's whitewater on Natchaug River for all you adrenaline people; Mashamoquet Brook  
               State Park is a brilliant place to go.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Munyan Trail, and Baker Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Wolf Den Campground is a wonderful local campground. Baker Pond is a rather wet place commonly with a large amount of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. What a place this is for outdoors people. A round of golf at nearby Harrisville Golf Course is a good way to kill some time, and at Baker Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic.
A magnificent nearby hotel is Inn At Woodstock Hill, and a good site to camp here at Baker Pond is Mashamoquet Brook State Park.
