Bellissimo Grande Hotel Suites is a great place to get some rest, and a swamp like Cedar Swamp near Avery Pond has lots of interesting things to see. Drift down the rapids of Quinebaug River in a kayak, and Avery Pond is in close proximity to Stoddard Hill State Park which is a pretty site. All the water falling down from the       sky makes Avery Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Summertime highs at Avery Pond usually tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Avery Pond. This lake is so wonderful. At Avery Pond you can catch a sight of Ayer Hill,                  and if you came for an overnight stay Strawberry Park Resort Campground is a fine spot to camp. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Avery Pond has it all. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Griswold, Ct is a good choice, and if you're here, you could also visit pretty Cooks Pond. Cooks Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like River Ridge Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Acres Family Campground is a great campground nearby, and you'll meet a lot of people from Norwich-New London here.
