The Munyan Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Auger Pond; a brilliant close by hotel is The Inn at Woodstock Hill. A large amount of rainfall falls at Auger Pond; November is when you get the most rain here while February is frequently the driest month. The warmest time of the year at Auger Pond comes with high       temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's; overnight lows at Auger Pond during the winter usually fall into the 10's. Auger Pond is a site with many visitors from Willimantic, and close by you stumble on the Walkabout Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Auger Pond. There's so much to do here at Auger                  Pond that you need to camp here for a while, West Thompson Campground is a tremendous place for that, and why not take a little spree to Jordan Brook since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Natchaug River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Auger Pond, and the peak of Buck Mountain can be spotted from Auger Pond. You can run the rapids of Quinebaug River in close proximity to Auger Pond; if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Border Trail. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very perfect place to take a look at near Auger Pond; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites Dayville is a nice location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Harrisville Golf Course not far from Auger Pond. Lakes? Sure, Coman Pond is close at hand.
