This lake is so wonderful. Everybody loves Buell Flats, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Mattatuck Trail. Going for a hike along the Naugatuck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; not far from Atwood Pond you'll hit upon Beetle Bung Pond which is a pretty lake. Gotta ski!       Woodbury is a pleasant place to do that, and Goat Brook is in close proximity to Atwood Pond and is always a pleasure to go to. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are in fact bountiful here at Atwood Pond. While you're here at Atwood Pond you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail, and get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Shepaug River. You just have to like Atwood Pond. Branchbrook Campground is a great campground nearby, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Southington. Atwood Pond usually gets a great deal of rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Atwood Pond is not far at all from Torrington, and Atwood Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, Black Rock State Park is a great location to camp nearby. While you're here at Atwood Pond you can play some golf at Golf Club at Oxford, and at Atwood Pond you can distinguish Breakneck Hill. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place like Black Rock State Park in the vicinity of Atwood Pond is too good to leave out; you can take a little spree to Lake Winnemaug Dam since you're here at Atwood Pond. During the warm months here at Atwood Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Atwood Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
