The beauty of Ashland Pond is reason enough to stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ashland Pond a wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Griswold, Ct is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and a glorious location to camp here at Ashland Pond is Ross Hill Park. | | at Ashland Pond. At Ashland Pond you can observe Geer Hill, and don't leave Ashland Pond without first going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cory Brook is a pretty stream that is worth going to, and there's whitewater on Natchaug River for all you adrenaline kick people. There are some nice whitewater spots on Quinebaug River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Aspinook Pond. | |

An afternoon playing golf at River Ridge Golf Course is always a pleasure. Americ Inn Lodge & Suites is a good site to get some rest; a tour to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended. People
from Norwich-New London love to come to Ashland Pond; Ashland Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hopeville Pond State Park is a great local campground. Summertime highs at Ashland Pond typically tend to be in the 80's.
Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Ashland Pond fall into the 10's.
