Ashland Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is February. Quality Inn Plainfield is a great place to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is River Ridge Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Geer Hill can be observed from Ashland Pond, and the nice people       of Norwich-New London like to hang out nearby. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Ashland Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Natchaug River, and get covered with water paddling on Quinebaug River. Going for a hike on the Narragansett Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you need a spot to stay Americinn - Griswold, Ct is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Aspinook Pond next                  to Ashland Pond, it's a stunning lake; if you came to camp Hopeville Pond State Park is a wonderful location to do that. Camping at Ross Hill Park is always a good experience, and Clayville Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Ashland Pond. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a glorious local destination here at Ashland Pond; an out of the ordinary thing to visit close to Ashland Pond is Ashland Pond Dam. Hopeville Pond State Park is a great place to pop by on a lovely day, and let's not forget Cory Brook which is a stream that you may encounter while here. High temperatures at Ashland Pond through the warm months are in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's.
