This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day you can explore Cedar Swamp, a swamp next to Arnold Ponds. All through the months of summer highs here at Arnold Ponds reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Arnold Ponds through the winter generally fall into the 10's. Brandy Brook is a delightful local stream, and whitewater paddling is good on Quaboag River. You just can't envision the amount
of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Arnold Ponds has to offer. A magnificent close by hotel is Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center, and you're in all probability into lakes, Staffordville Reservoir is one of those
nearby. Natchaug River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; if you've had enough of Arnold Ponds, Ruby Lake is nearby.
