    A visit to Arnold Ponds is always a good idea. Parker Mountain can be seen from Arnold Ponds, and not far from Arnold Ponds you'll locate Ruby Lake which is a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Arnold Ponds without popping by Bigelow Hollow State Park, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Foster Pond. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Arnold Ponds. After a long day outdoors Nathan Hale Inn  
   And Conference Center is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Wilderness Lake while you're here at Arnold Ponds.
It's a tremendous idea to pop by Brandy Brook, it's near Arnold Ponds; swamps are out of the ordinary spots and Cedar Swamp near Arnold Ponds is no exception. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Arnold Ponds. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down
 
               during the wintertime temperatures at Arnold Ponds descend into the 10's. Rodeway Inn Willington is a delightful spot to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Natchaug River for all you adrenaline junkies.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Quaboag River near Arnold Ponds. Arnold Ponds gets a good deal of water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Halchek Pond Dam; if you came for an overnight stay Roaring Brook Campground is a perfect location to camp.
