    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Arnold Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. Wilderness Lake is a delightful local campground, and there's always Halchek Pond Dam to stop at close to Arnold Ponds. Roaring Brook Campground is a tremendous campground nearby; Parker Mountain is painless to spot from Arnold Ponds. All the water falling down from the sky makes Arnold Ponds a wet spot; May is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is  
   the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day you can explore Cedar Swamp, a swamp next to Arnold Ponds. All through the months of summer highs here at Arnold Ponds reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Arnold Ponds through the winter generally fall into the 10's. A journey to Bigelow Hollow State Park when you're here at Arnold
 
               Ponds is a glorious idea, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Willington is a wonderful choice.
Brandy Brook is a delightful local stream, and whitewater paddling is good on Quaboag River. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Arnold Ponds has to offer. A magnificent close by hotel is Nathan Hale Inn And Conference Center, and you're in all probability into lakes, Staffordville Reservoir is one of those nearby. Natchaug River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; if you've had enough of Arnold Ponds, Ruby Lake is nearby.
