An afternoon playing golf at River Ridge Golf Course is always a delight. There are perfect locations to discover along the Narragansett Trail, and Amos Lake is in the vicinity of Hopeville Pond State Park which is a scenic place. Amos Lake gets a lot of water; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Amos Lake       generally tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Amos Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River, and why not visit a swamp like Cedar Swamp since you're here at Amos Lake. The vista of Prospect Hill from Amos Lake is beautiful; why not take a little spree to Indiantown Brook if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Strawberry                  Park Resort Campground is a tremendous local campground; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Natchaug River. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Amos Lake has it all. This is a good area for folks who like lakes. Cooks Pond is a lake in the vicinity; after a long day outdoors Americinn - Griswold, Ct is a glorious place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes?
