     Clarks Brook is a perfect site to go to, and a charming lake like Dobsonville Pond is a perfect spot to take a look at. A nice nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Vernon, and a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Gay City State Park. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Aldon Mill Pond with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Aldon Mill Pond. You're sure to run into  
   some great folks from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford here, and Aldon Mill Pond Dam is charming.
Do take a look at Risley Reservoir in the vicinity of Aldon Mill Pond, it's a beautiful lake. There's so much to do here at Aldon Mill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nelson's Family Campground is a delightful site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. And if that's not enough, there's a heap
 
               more to do close to Aldon Mill Pond. Near Aldon Mill Pond you find a golf course called Minnechaug Golf Course, and get dripping wet paddling on Roaring Brook River.
This lake is so wonderful. Howard Johnson Express Inn - Vernon is a splendid site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Aldon Mill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Del-aire Camping Resort. Aldon Mill Pond commonly gets much rainfall; during April this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.

THe fishermen aren't nice here, especially in the Fly fishing area, we caught a lot of heck from them last year. MAde the trip no fun, I won't return. Im here everyday besides wensday. on wensday they give uss off. don and ann are very nice people with a very nice store and very nice overpriced things inside there very nice store. soon they will mater building the roads and hopefuly next spring will be a very nice one. they have very clean and large sites and never are all the sites full so dont let them tell you there booked. if your looking for a nice peaceful time come durring the normal weekends but if your looking for lots of action well come on the major weekends. if your have any teens bring them because there are lots of very nice children in a drug-free enviroment. we have been her since the begining of time and for some reason where still here! the speed limits 5mph but I drive at around 12mph shhh....
