Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. Going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Mashamoquet Brook State Park is a brilliant location to stretch your legs a bit.
Hiking along the Border Trail is tremendous fun, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Harrisville Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. One of the overriding marks of the surroundings of Abbott Pond is Allen Hill;
if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some splendid whitewater, and why
not explore Abbott Dam if you're here. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Natchaug River, and if you came for an overnight stay Wolf Den Campground is a glorious place to camp. Summertime highs at Abbott Pond generally
tend to be in the 80's; the night is rather chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Abbott Pond tend to be in the 10's.
