Joe Wright Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and nearby you discover wonderful sites like Cameron Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Joe Wright Dam has brilliant water scenery and it's in close proximity to Zimmerman Lake; some of the water close by flows, like Montgomery Creek.                  Go for a hike on the Montgomery Pass Trail, and Zimmerman Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Grand View Campground is a great local campground. If you need a spot to stay Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr is a tremendous choice, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River. A lake nearby is Michigan Lakes, and brilliant hiking is available along the Thunder Pass Trail. At Zimmerman Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 30's.
