An exciting thing to go to in the neighborhood of Youngs Lake is Anderson Dam, and Super 8 Rifle is a brilliant spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Weir and Johnson Campground, and going for a hike on the Monument Trail is always a brilliant adventure. At Youngs       Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Youngs Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Sheep Flats is a good place to stretch your legs a bit, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the East Leon Trail. Lakes are such calm locations, why not take a look at Anderson                  Brothers Reservoir in close proximity to Youngs Lake, and close by you find the High Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Youngs Lake; the month with most of the rain is March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not all you can do here at Youngs Lake. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a good choice.
