This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the High Trail. All through the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Yamcolo Reservoir, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Yamcolo Reservoir are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Yamcolo Reservoir without       first going for a hike along the South Derby Trail, and Yamcolo Dam is an exciting thing to check out. A fine spot to camp here at Yamcolo Reservoir is Bucks Campground, and a pleasant spree to Gardner Park is a great way to spend an afternoon. Any time is a great time at Yamcolo Reservoir if you go for the outdoors. A lake close by is Wood Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co is a good site to spend a night or two. You can see                  Little Flat Tops from Yamcolo Reservoir, and a delightful nearby hotel is Oak Tree Inn Yampa. Go for a hike on the Ute Trail, and camping is available at Trapline Campground.; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that snows the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
