This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm locations, why not visit Beltz Number 2 Reservoir near Wrights Reservoir, and some of the water nearby flows, like Dry Creek. Not far from Wrights Reservoir you get some good water scenery at Mount Pisgah Dam; Super 8 Motel - Canon City is a splendid place to get some rest. Be careful coming to Wrights Reservoir, you might not ever       want to go back home again. Wrights Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Front Range. On a perfect day at Wrights Reservoir you can take a hike along the Longwater Trail, and there's whitewater on South Platte River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Wrights Reservoir. The Rule Ridge Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Wrights Reservoir,                  and you can run the rapids of South Platte River. There are other places here than Wrights Reservoir, for example Mount Pisgah Reservoir, and lots of folks from Canon City come here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Wrights Reservoir you can take a hike along the Phantom Creek Trail; if you need a location to stay Country Lodge is a nice choice. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Wrights Reservoir. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Wrights Reservoir night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. Wrights Reservoir is a location that is rather dehydrated generally; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is one of the destinations near Wrights Reservoir that are great to go to, and you can stay the night at Lost Burro Campground. So much exciting stuff in the Front Range, just mind-boggling. If you yearn for a little side spree, try Box Canyon.
