Hiking along the Wahatoya Trail is pleasant fun, and as expected Wahatoya Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Circle The wagons RV Park while you're here at Wright-Brink Reservoir, and while you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Grandote Peaks Golf Course. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Wright-Brink       Reservoir. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Wade Trail, and Wright-Brink Reservoir is not the only site close by, Shearer Reservoir is a close by lake. During the warm days of summer at Wright-Brink Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Wright-Brink Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. If you need a site to stay Knights                  Inn Walsenburg is a good choice, and Wright-Brink Reservoir is right by the Black Hills Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious nearby hotel is Best Western Rambler. Wright-Brink Reservoir is pretty dried out usually; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A day on the slopes of Eldora is just what you need; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Wright-Brink Dam.
