There's splendid hiking along the Woods Lake Trail; dry warm beds await you at Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Woods Lake has it all. Stay the night at Cayton Campground, and some of the water nearby flows, like Muddy Creek. This lake is so wonderful. | | right next door to Woods Lake; if you need a site to stay Mountain Lodge at Telluride is a good choice.
Burro Bridge Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and San Miguel River is a great whitewater spot close by. The Wood Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Tom Akin Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
