    Wommer Reservoir Number 1 is a lake worth visiting. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Little Bear Creek; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Canyon Creek. Riverside RV Park is a brilliant local campground; close by Wommer Draw is a delightful place to go. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Durango here at  
   Wommer Reservoir Number 1.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Wommer Reservoir Number 1 you come across the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway which is a good hiking trail, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Tamarron is a nice choice. Summertime at Wommer Reservoir Number 1 arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the
 
               0's for Wommer Reservoir Number 1. Lake Simpatico is a pleasant lake close to Wommer Reservoir Number 1, and Vallecito Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby.
You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Old Timbers Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and a scenic lake like Vallecito Reservoir is a great place to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. You get a delightful panorama of Ludwig Mountain from Wommer Reservoir Number 1, and after a long day outdoors Tamarron Resort is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
Wommer Reservoir Number 1 gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; June is the month with the least moisture.
