At Windy Gap Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Tabernash Campground is a pleasant place to do that; not far from Windy Gap Reservoir you'll discover       Bunte Reservoir which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Windy Gap Reservoir you hit upon the Muddy Keyser Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Willow Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. Going for a hike on the Gilsonite Trail is always a good adventure, and Grand Elk Golf Course is a golf course close by. So much cool stuff to do at                  Windy Gap Reservoir, so little time. SolVista has splendid slopes and a friendly staff; if you need a spot to stay Littletree Inn is a pleasant choice. All through the days of summer at Windy Gap Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
