Windy Gap Reservoir is generally a reasonably arid spot; most of the rain falls during August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Windy Gap Reservoir is located in the Park Range. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at SolVista nearby, and nearby you hit upon glorious sites like Windy Gap. Coyote Creek is a great local stream, and a golf course nearby is Grand Elk Golf Course. There's       no way someone can get bored here in the Park Range. A fine nearby hotel is Silvercreek Lodging; at Bunte Dam in the neighborhood of Windy Gap Reservoir there are some attention-grabbing things to see. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Windy Gap Reservoir, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's while Windy Gap Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the winter are                  in the-10's. You could also check out Bunte Reservoir if you're here at Windy Gap Reservoir; it's close by, and you can go for a hike on the Sulfur Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Willow Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Muddy Keyser Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Littletree Inn is a nice choice; going for a hike on the Gilsonite Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Park Range. Tabernash Campground is a brilliant campground here, and whitewater paddling is great on Willow Creek. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Windy Gap Reservoir. Berthoud Pass is a very popular ski area close by. Be careful coming to Windy Gap Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return home again.
