If you are in Mineral county it's always a good idea to stop by Window Lake. Window Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. At Window Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July while June is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wolf Creek. The Rainbow Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Window Lake, and there's

| | whitewater on Rio Grande for all you adrenaline people. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains is so good! You can run the rapids of Wolf Creek in close proximity to Window Lake; Window Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Cimarrona Campground is a good site to camp nearby. Pagosa Lodge. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a splendid location to get some rest, and obviously Deadman Creek is a pretty stream
that is worth a visit. The top of Sugarloaf Mountain is easily observed from Window Lake; Middle Fork Hunter Campground is a great local campground. What a site this is for outdoors people. If the weather is delightful here at Window
Lake, you can go for a hike along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and Fourmile Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Through the warm months, highs generally are in the 70's at Window Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to
the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Window Lake tend to be in the-10's.
