A visit to Wilson Reservoir is always a good idea. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. If you need a location to stay The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a delightful choice, and a great site to camp here at Wilson Reservoir is Clyde Campground. Wilson Reservoir is pretty dry regularly; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing things to do in the Front

| | Range. Wilson Reservoir is not far at all from Colorado Springs.
One of the governing traits of the surroundings of Wilson Reservoir is Sheep Mountain; there's good hiking along the Barr Trail. Wilson Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Wilson Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Waldo Canyon Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range.

delightful enough to spend more than a day at, The Crags Campground is a delightful local campground; Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a perfect spot close by. All through the summertime highs here at Wilson Reservoir get
into the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Wilson Reservoir are in the 0's.
