Paddling on Crystal River - North Fork is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Maroon Lake Campground. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do near Willow Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Hiking is a popular thing       to do around Willow Lake; Granite Basin Trail is a glorious local trail, and a great place is Buckskin Pass. Through the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 70's at Willow Lake. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. At Willow Lake you can see Sievers Mountain; pleasant hiking is available along the Blue Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on East River.
