Go to Willow Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you're visiting Willow Lake from Canon City, you won't be the only one, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Stultz Trail. If you haven’t been to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here, and there's some flowing water nearby, Fourmile Creek is a stream you can visit while here. | | on down to Willow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sheeley Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. Be careful coming to Willow Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. A brilliant place to explore in the vicinity of Willow Lake is Fawn Hollow, and a round of golf at nearby Shadow Hills Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time. and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Willow Lake is Maverick Trailer Park, and since you're here, you could also go to charming Cotter Tailing Impoundment. And that's
not everything you can do here in the Front Range. Camping at Rv Station Campground is always a tremendous experience, and there's whitewater on Grape Creek for all you adrenaline people. Just can't get enough of the Front Range.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tanner Trail; you can run the rapids of Arkansas River. You'll locate a lovely lake called Cannon Watershed Detention C-3 Reservoir near Willow Lake, and if you need a site to stay Budget
Host Royal Gorge Inn Canon City is a good choice. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Willow Lake get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Willow Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range.

The fishing has been both great and not so good. The time of the year plays a part. However the beauty is always there. Love It!!!... Fishing here was the most terrible expericence ever! There are several hiking trails starting in the campground, and lots of open space for a leisurely stroll or games. There are ATV trails and fishing about 20 minutes away.
For your convenience our restrooms, heated showers, and dump station are centrally located by the office, along with the ice machine, and fire wood. We have supplies, and food available in the office/store.
Your pets are welcome to camp with you at no extra cost, but must never be left alone at your campsite. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pets no matter where you walk them. ... |
