This place, Willis Lake, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Go for a hike on the Main Range Trail; Delaware Hotel is a great place to get some rest. It is very dried out here at Willis Lake generally; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Throughout the months of summer,       highs typically are in the 70's at Willis Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Willis Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Crystal Lake near Willis Lake, it's a wonderful lake. There's perfect hiking along the Timberline Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Willis Lake has to offer, you can                  camp at Parry Peak Campground. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. Willis Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Twin Peaks Campground is a great spot to camp nearby, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a great choice. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sawatch Range. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Cooper; one of the principal traits of the surroundings of Willis Lake is Mount Blaurock. Good hiking is available along the Mount Elbert Trail; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
