It's always fun to stop by Williams Reservoir. That right there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the San Juan Mountains has it all. Williams Creek Dam is delightful and it's close to Williams Reservoir; a trip to Notch Spring will fill your soul with perfect feelings. If you get bored of Williams Reservoir, you could also have a look at nearby Martin Lake, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Fern Creek Stock Driveway.

| | This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. Near Williams Reservoir you come across the Middle Mountain Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Teal Campground is a glorious site to camp. Around Williams Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through July while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. time. Going for a hike on the Devil Mountain Trail is always a good adventure; Piedra River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wolf
Creek; Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a splendid spot to get some rest. At Williams Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. For the
duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Williams Reservoir are in the-10's. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the San Juan Mountains.
Burro Park is a fine spot, and whitewater paddling is good on Rio Grande. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Williams Reservoir is perfect fun, Cimarrona Campground is a perfect local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs.
