     Williams Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. Going for a hike along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Trout Lake Dam is a beautiful spot. The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not much rainfall falls here at Williams Lakes; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
High temperatures at Williams Lakes during the summer months are in the 70's. When
 
   the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Williams Lakes nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. Be careful coming to the San Juan Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. If the weather is delightful here at Williams Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater  
               paddling on Rio Grande. Just can't get enough of Williams Lakes. Cherokee Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
If you need a spot to stay Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a fine choice, and camping is available at Middle Fork Hunter Campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Williams Lakes you can take a hike along the Middle Creek Stock Driveway, and camping at Cimarrona Campground is always a fine experience.
