There are splendid locations to look at along the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway, and after a long day outdoors Timberline Condominiums is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Looking for something near Williams Lake? Hardscrabble Lake is close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Osgood Campground is a glorious place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is The Green Drake, and going for a hike on the Blue Creek Trail is always a good

Williams Lake is a location that is rather dried out frequently; during the month of April you get the most rain around here, and June is when it's the driest. Throughout the summer at Williams Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Williams Lake. Camping is available at Avalanche Campground, and you can go for a hike | |

on the Trail Riders Trail.
What a location this is for outdoors folks. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Crystal River, and you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Thomas Lakes is one of those close by.

Lost Lake Campground

I just camped at Lost Lake 2 weeks ago! It is so beautiful and serene they were holding a wedding there 2 days after we left. With only 10 campsites, it is quiet and ideal for families or couples. A beautiful view of Lost Lake Slough and of the mountains in the background greeted us in the morning. The full moon rising over the crest of the mountain was a real treat the first night we got there. There is a 3 mile hike within walking distance on which we saw beautiful wildflowers, 2 waterfalls, and 3 lakes. ENJOY!... |
