The beauty of Wildcat Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Fork, and a lake close by is Marolt Reservoir. Wildcat Dam is a place that is right next door to Wildcat Reservoir; don't forget to take a fine little spree to West Fork Brush Creek. You definitely ought to love Wildcat Reservoir. | | close by you hit upon the Trail Riders Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. After a long day outdoors Snowmass Villas by ResortQuest is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and everybody close by loves skiing at Aspen Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. get into the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Wildcat Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. Wildcat Reservoir is pretty dry frequently;
April is when you get the most rain here, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Wildcat Reservoir is not the only location close by, Elk Creek Reservoir Number 2 is a close by lake; there is a splendid hiking trail close by called
the Blue Creek Trail. If you came to camp Maroon Creek Campground 1 is a great place to do that, and going for a hike on the Antone Trail is always a great adventure.

LEDE Reservoir
 | 16 miles away Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
