High temperatures at Wheeler Lakes during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Wheeler Lakes. All the outdoors cool things in close proximity to Wheeler Lakes will keep you coming back time and again. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Copper Mountain is close to Wheeler       Lakes, and float down the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. The good folks of Silverthorne like to hang out nearby, and camping is available at Black Lakes Campground. Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Wheeler Trail. Having a good time at Wheeler Lakes is painless. Why not camp at Gold Pan Campground since you're here at Wheeler Lakes, and why not go to close                  by Guller Creek if you're here at Wheeler Lakes. A tour to McKenzie Gulch is always fun; everyone loves Wheeler Flats. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Wheeler Lakes, you could also take a look at nearby Officers Gulch Pond, and close by you stumble on the Miners Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. The skiing at Breckenridge is magnificent, and a great nearby hotel is Timber Creek Condominums. The Wheeler Dillion Trail is a delightful hiking trail right next door to Wheeler Lakes, and if you need a site to stay New Village is a wonderful choice.
