Wheeler Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If the weather is wonderful here at Wheeler Lake, you can go for a hike along the Wheeler Trail, and this is a popular spot for people from Silverthorne. Dry warm beds await you at Copper Mountain Resort; you can stay the night at Kite Lake Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Wheeler Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. For the period of the wintertime

There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Arkansas River, and the slopes of Copper Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Wheeler Lake is a location that is quite waterless typically; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |

You might want to pay a visit to Platte Gulch if you're here at Wheeler Lake. There's so much to do here at Wheeler Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground is a perfect site for that.
This lake is
so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some good whitewater, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a good vista of Mount Cameron from Wheeler Lake. Carbonate Copper Mountain is a good location
to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Wheeler Lake. Near Wheeler Lake you hit upon the Burro Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Breckenridge is a perfect spot to do that.
This lake
is so wonderful. You have to definitely dedicate some time to Cameron Amphitheatre while you're here at Wheeler Lake; the Wheeler Trail is a nice hiking trail close by.
