If you go for the outdoors, you'll like West Lake. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Cache La Poudre River, and you could always discover Wildcat Canyon. West Lake is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains. While you're here at West Lake you can take a hike along the Killpecker Trail; Fox Acres       Country Club is a great golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. West Lake is not the only spot nearby, Snake Lake is a nearby lake, and an interesting thing to stop at next to West Lake is Snake Lake Dam. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Take a hike on the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the North Lone Pine Trail. At West Lake you don’t see much rainfall; during July                  this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Stay the night at Bellaire Lake Campground, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Twin Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Dry warm beds await you at The Evergreens On Fall River, and West Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest is a glorious site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at West Lake all through the summertime are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's.
