West Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. But wait, there's more to do near West Lake. Not far from West Lake, you'll come across Red Feather Lake which is a beautiful lake; for you golfers we recommend nearby Fox Acres Country Club. West Lake is pretty dehydrated frequently; most of the rain falls all through July, and the driest of the months is January. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even       more amusing things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. A visit to Wildcat Canyon is always fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Letitia Lake. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The Evergreens On Fall River is a great spot to get some rest; there's magnificent hiking along the North Lone Pine Trail. Camping at Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest                  is always a great experience, and why not pop by Snake Lake Dam while you're here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around West Lake; Killpecker Trail is a great local trail, and camping is available at Bellaire Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the months of summer at West Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at West Lake during the wintertime frequently fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
