Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Gem Lake Trail, and needless to say, this is a pleasant region for folks who like lakes, Lower Big Creek Reservoir is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground; since you might be in a lake visiting       mood you can always stop by close by Sanchez Lakes. West Fork Lake is frequently a quite dried out place; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. A nice close by hotel is Nordic Lodge of Steamboat, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Encampment River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a perfect choice. From                  West Fork Lake you obtain a great view of Black Mountain, and there's whitewater on Elk River for all you adrenaline junkies. That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. West Fork Lake is in the neighborhood of Lower Big Creek Dam which is a lovely place undeniably worth checking out, and going for a hike along the Stump Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Throughout the summer months here at West Fork Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at West Fork Lake are in the 0's. West Fork Lake is located in the Park Range. What a place this is for outdoors folks.
