The Castle is an interesting place to pop by while at Wellington Lake; do take a hike on the Lake Park Trail. All year is a splendid time in the Front Range if you go for the outdoors. A good place to camp here at Wellington Lake is Buffalo Creek Campground; why not pop by Wellington Dam if you're here. This site rules, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do right next door       to Wellington Lake. Get soaked paddling on South Platte River - North Fork, and obviously Freeman Creek flows through this area. A lake like this is too good to miss. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wellington Lake; Rolling Creek Trail is a glorious local trail, and soar down the rapids of South Platte River in a kayak. Camping at Tramway Campground is always a nice experience, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pine Ridge Trail. Wellington                  Lake is pretty dehydrated regularly; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Quality Suites Evergreen is a magnificent location to spend a night or two.
